Introducing The Blueprint by EVRYMAN

How to Build a Pyramid

How to Build a Pyramid

The Great Pyramid of Giza held the title of the tallest building in the world for an impressive 4,000 years until the construction of cathedrals in England in the year 1311. This ancient wonder was built using 2.3 million stone blocks and took over two decades to complete, all without the aid of modern technology… which is mind-blowing.

Do you know how they built it?

They had a clear blueprint. Then they just stacked one block on top of another. They repeated this simple action 2.3 million times. When you zoom out it’s a super impressive structure, but when you zoom in, you realize it’s pretty simple. One of the wonders of the world is really just a stack of stone blocks.

Personal growth follows the same principle. A man's character is built through consistent, small, and meaningful actions, which compound over time. Through dedication and perseverance, a man can construct a life that stands tall, weathers challenges, and leads to a lasting legacy.

Our redesigned newsletter aims to provide you with that blueprint for personal growth and encourage you to take those small but significant actions to connect deeply with yourself and others. That’s why we’re calling it The Blueprint.

The Blueprint will land in your inbox on the 2nd and 4th Thursday mornings of each month. Here’s what to expect:

  • A thought-provoking idea you can put into practice

  • A selection of insightful articles

  • Updates on upcoming events

  • Fun memes to close things out

The common thread that unites the EVRYMAN community is that everyone is on a journey to create the life they want and become a better man. All of us are stacking our blocks right alongside you, and we can’t wait to share what we’re learning along the way.

Do you know of someone who is on this journey and should subscribe to The Blueprint? They can subscribe here or with the button below.

Insights

Kobe Bryant on Failure. One might expect a fierce competitor like Kobe Bryant to hate failure. You'd think he might believe that failure isn't an option. But surprisingly, Bryant actually embraced failure and saw it as something inevitable. You’ve only truly failed if you don't learn from your mistakes and give it another shot the next day. Getting Fit After 60 Years of Sloth. Phil Daost was never the picture of fitness. Actually, he was the opposite: An indulgent, overweight middle aged man who loved exercise about as much as he loved sobriety. In his mid-50s, things changed, and now he’s regularly running past people half his age. How did he do it? The Guardian (8 minutes)

On Meditation and Morning Pages. If meditation isn't working for you, try Morning Pages - three pages of longhand, stream-of-consciousness writing with no filter or judgment. Simply let the words flow and tumble out onto the page, writing down whatever comes to mind. This practice can be a powerful alternative to meditation for those seeking inner peace and personal growth. Read on to discover how this transition in practice changed one man's life.
